Coca-Cola GB launches recycling campaign - Carbonated Soft Drinks - 2009    18/09/09
Coca-Cola consumers in the UK are being urged to recycle more of their rubbish as part of a new campaign launched by the soft drinks company.

A new promotional scheme entitled Keep it Going, Recycle aims to inspire Britons to recycle their empty soft drinks packaging, rather than simply throwing it away.

The firm is also looking into the creation of new recycling areas in UK city centres to allow people to maintain good environmental credentials even when they are on the move.

Sanjay Guha, Coca-Cola GB's president, said that both the company and its consumers must do more to help the environment.

He added: "We believe that increasing recycling levels is one of the most effective steps we can take in achieving our overall goal of operating in a responsible way.

"Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do - without sustainable, healthy communities we won't have a sustainable business."

In recent weeks, the firm has also aimed to improve its links with healthcare professionals by launching a new interactive website.
