A new section aimed specifically at cider apple and perry pear growers has been added to the National Association of Cider Makers' website.
Titled Growers Update, the section is designed to keep growers up-to-date with the latest developments in their industry.
It also provides information on issues that might affect these industry members and those considering becoming a grower.
Chris Fairs, growers' advisory manager at Bulmers' orcharding department, is one of the people who helps to compile Growers Update.
He explained that around 45 per cent of all the apples grown in the UK are used for cider production.
One regular feature of the new website section will be The Orchard Year - a calendar of tasks that need to be carried out by apple and pear growers each year.
"This is intended as an aide memoire for existing growers and may be useful guidance for new growers. It will sit alongside items that are topical and highlight new developments in all aspects of orchard and crop management," said Mr Fairs.
Last month, the association announced that Bulmers' apple growers had donated £25,000 to St Michael's Hospice.
