Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Corporation announces 2009 financial figures - Beverage Packaging - 2010    04/02/10
Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Corporation achieved an operating cash flow net of capital expenditure of €546 million (£476.8 million) last year.

This is an increase of €284 million (£248 million) on that spent in 2008.

In its results for the full year ending December 31st 2009, the soft drinks bottler also announced that it had sold 2,069 million unit cases, which is two per cent less than the amount sold in the previous year.

Doros Constantinou, chief executive officer of Coca-Cola Hellenic, said: "In a year of significant external challenges, we have successfully adapted our business to near-term economic realities, whilst maintaining our long-term focus on market leadership."

He went on to say, however, that the company will remain cautious this year as purchasing power is still affected by the difficult economic environment.

Earlier this week, Coca-Cola launched a promotion on its Live Positively Facebook page, allowing users of the social networking site to send virtual gifts to their friends and family.
